Growth Data Scientist (Europe)

This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: Europe

About Nivoda

Nivoda’s growth trajectory has skyrocketed over the past 12 months, and we continue to expand across new regions at an unprecedented pace. Our DNA centers on understanding our customers' needs and offering them a seamless experience. With a growing team based in major cities worldwide, including London, New York, Hong Kong, and Mumbai, Nivoda is becoming the go-to marketplace for the global jewelry industry.

We are bold, innovative, and relentless in our pursuit of excellence as we transform an industry steeped in tradition.

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist, Growth to build the models, analysis, and decision systems that help Nivoda grow faster and more intelligently.

You will work on questions like:

  • Which leads and customers should Sales prioritise?

  • What signals predict conversion, activation, retention, or expansion?

  • Where are we seeing gaps, trends, or missed opportunities?

  • Which customer segments, regions, behaviours, or channels show the strongest growth potential?

  • How do we turn imperfect data into clear action?

This is a data science role first. We are not looking for a pure data analyst or a data engineer. You should be strong in modelling, experimentation, segmentation, and commercial problem-solving, with enough technical depth in Python, SQL, and modern data tooling to build useful workflows and partner well with Data Engineering.

We want someone who gets their hands dirty, moves quickly, and keeps a high quality bar.

What You'll Do

Build growth and opportunity models

You will build and improve scoring models that help us identify high-potential leads, customers, and commercial opportunities.

This may include lead scoring, activation prediction, churn risk, expansion potential, customer segmentation, and opportunity prioritisation.

Your work should help Growth, Sales, and Marketing focus their effort where it is most likely to create value.

Find growth opportunities

  • You will analyse customer, marketplace, CRM, marketing, and commercial data to identify patterns that explain where Nivoda is winning, where we are underperforming, and what we should do next.

  • You will turn messy data into clear recommendations, not just dashboards.

Support experimentation and measurement

  • You will help Growth and Product teams design better experiments, define success metrics, interpret results, and understand uncertainty.

  • You should know how to work with imperfect real-world data, including low sample sizes, noisy attribution, weak instrumentation, and unclear funnel definitions.

Build practical data science workflows

  • You will write strong SQL and Python, work with data in Snowflake, create reproducible datasets, and build lightweight workflows that can later be productionised with Data Engineering where needed.

  • You do not need to own the full data platform, but you do need to know how to build.

Drive action

  • Your work should change decisions. That might mean changing sales prioritisation, improving lifecycle targeting, identifying new customer segments, adjusting growth strategy, or helping teams stop doing things that are not working.

  • A model or analysis has no value if nobody acts on it.

What You'll Need

  • 4+ years in data science, applied statistics, growth analytics, machine learning, or a similar role.

  • Strong Python and SQL.

  • Experience building practical models that influence business decisions.

  • Good understanding of experimentation, statistical reasoning, and measurement.

  • Ability to work with messy, incomplete, or fast-changing data.

  • Strong commercial judgement.

  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Bias for action, with a high quality bar.

  • Comfortable operating autonomously in a scale-up environment.

Highly Desirable Experience:

  • Marketplace, B2B, SMB, logistics, fintech, e-commerce, or high-growth scale-up experience.

  • Lead scoring, propensity modelling, churn prediction, activation modelling, segmentation, or LTV modelling.

  • Working with CRM, marketing, product, or commercial data.

  • Snowflake, dbt, HubSpot, Salesforce, or modern data/ML workflows.

  • Partnering with Growth, Sales, Marketing, Product, or Revenue Operations teams.

AI-Enabled Working Style

We are looking for someone who uses AI to increase their impact.

That means using AI tools to move faster, write better code, explore ideas, reduce manual work, and challenge assumptions. We care less about the specific tools and more about whether you use them to operate at a higher level.

What We Offer

🕰️ Flexible working hours and a vibrant company culture
💻 Remote work
🧠 Plenty of opportunities for growth and learning
🏖️ Unlimited holiday allowance
🚀 Chance to join and contribute to a company during its exponential expansion phase
