We are dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and develop their full potential.</p><p>Our residential services are designed to meet the needs of young people who require additional support due to complex emotional, behavioural, or social challenges.</p><p>We are looking for passionate, committed individuals to join our team as Residential Support Workers.</p><p>Role Overview:</p><ul><li>As a Residential Support Worker in our Children’s Services, you will play a pivotal role in helping children and young people lead fulfilling, positive lives.</li><li>You will be responsible for providing high-quality care, support, and guidance, ensuring the well-being and safety of the children and young people in our care.</li><li>You will work closely with a team of professionals to create and implement individualised care plans that support their development, emotional needs, and educational goals.</li></ul><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Support children and young people with daily living activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities.</li><li>Encourage and promote positive behaviour, offering emotional and practical support to build self-esteem and confidence.</li><li>Develop and maintain trusting, professional relationships with children and young people, providing consistency and stability.</li><li>Implement care plans and ensure children’s needs are being met in line with their individual requirements.</li><li>Safeguard and protect children, ensuring that any concerns are reported promptly and in accordance with safeguarding procedures.</li><li>Support children in developing life skills, such as communication, socialisation, and independence.</li><li>Provide a safe, welcoming, and structured environment that encourages growth and development.</li><li>Assist with the preparation and participation in regular reviews, contributing to the child’s individual progress and goals.</li><li>Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory and organisational standards.</li></ul><p>Person Specification:</p><ul><li>A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a commitment to providing the highest standard of care.</li><li>Previous experience in residential care, children’s services, or a similar field is desirable, but not essential.</li><li>An understanding of child development and the ability to support children with emotional, behavioural, and social challenges.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.</li><li>Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.</li><li>A flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.</li><li>A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.</li><li>Driving Licence Essential</li></ul><p>New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
