SEO Manager / Digital Marketing Manager - Contract to Hire

Job Overview

We are a fast-growing home service company looking for an experienced SEO Manager / Digital Marketing Manager to lead our SEO strategy, improve online visibility, and drive consistent lead generation.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who understands local SEO, service-based lead generation, and scaling home service businesses online.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute SEO strategy to grow organic leads

Improve Google rankings for local service keywords

Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles (GBP)

Build and manage backlink and citation strategies

Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis

Oversee on-page and technical SEO improvements

Collaborate with developers/designers when needed

Manage content strategy and blog optimization

Monitor SEO performance (rankings, traffic, conversions)

Identify and resolve technical SEO issues

Provide weekly and monthly performance reports

Requirements

Proven experience in SEO management

Strong knowledge of Local SEO and lead generation

Experience ranking local service-based businesses

Proficiency with:

Google Search Console

Google Analytics

Ahrefs or SEMrush

Google Business Profile optimization

WordPress

Ability to build and execute SEO strategies independently

Strong communication and organizational skills

Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Bonus Qualifications

Experience in home services, garage doors, or contractor industries

Knowledge of Google Ads / PPC

Experience with AI tools for SEO/content

CRO (conversion rate optimization) experience

Prior team management experience
