Position Summary:

Warehouse persons are responsible for operating motorized material handling equipment to unload, select and load products to storage areas in a multi-temperature foodservice warehouse environment

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Safely and accurately receive inbound products, replenish inventory as needed and pull product
  • Safely build pallets, cart or cages of product for loading and delivery to our customer
  • Select product safely with a high degree of accuracy
  • Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer
  • Safely maneuver motorized material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklift
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards
  • Utilize various technologies or software, such as Syntellic.
  • Perform basic sanitation duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered.
  • Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Valid PR driver's license
  • High School diploma
  • 6 months prior warehouse forklift experience.
  • 6 months of related experience (i.e. working in a distribution warehouse environment, grocery dock, construction or other positions which require heavy lifting in multi-temperature environment)
  • Ability to operate a manual / powered pallet jack or lift product
  • Forklift certification is required or obtained immediately upon hire
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule (e.g., night shift, weekends and holidays) in a 24/7 distribution center environment
  • This position must pass post offer drug test
