We make calculated bets and focus on fewer, greater initiatives that will result in the greatest value for Pangaea, our customers and our teammates.</li> </ul> <p><strong>THE ROLE</strong><strong><br></strong><strong><br></strong>Pangaea is seeking a VP of Operations (Contractor) to partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive and execute operational excellence across the business.</p> <p>This is a highly hands-on, execution-focused role. While the title is VP, this position is best suited for a strong operator who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and directly owning key areas of the business including supply chain, inventory planning, logistics, and S&OP.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own and execute operational strategy across global supply chain, logistics, and distribution</li> <li>Lead day-to-day operations across inventory planning, demand forecasting, and fulfillment</li> <li>Drive and improve the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process</li> <li>Manage relationships with 3PLs, freight partners, manufacturers, and international distributors</li> <li>Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, and Product to support launches and growth initiatives</li> <li>Identify and implement improvements to COGS, margins, and operational efficiency</li> <li>Monitor KPIs and translate data into actionable insights and execution plans</li> <li>Ensure strong inventory health and working capital optimization across all channels</li> <li>Bring structure, discipline, and accountability to operational processes and reporting</li> <li>Support and mentor team members while helping evolve the operational org structure over time</li> </ul> <p><strong>WHO YOU ARE</strong></p> <ul> <li>8 - 12+ years of experience in operations within CPG, DTC, or similar industries</li> <li>Currently operating at a Director or Senior Director level (or equivalent) and ready to step into a VP-level scope</li> <li>Highly hands-on with a track record of executing, not just leading strategy</li> <li>Strong experience with supply chain, inventory planning, and multi-channel distribution (DTC, Amazon, retail)</li> <li>Experience running or supporting S&OP processes</li> <li>Comfortable working in fast-paced, lean environments with high ownership</li> <li>Strong financial and analytical mindset with ability to impact margins and cost structure</li> <li>Excellent cross-functional collaborator and communicator</li> <li>Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.) preferred</li> </ul> <p><strong>COMPENSATION & STRUCTURE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Contractor role (40 hours/week)</li> <li>Monthly compensation: $12,000 - $16,000, depending on experience</li> <li>No end date (long-term engagement expected)</li> </ul>
