Squarespace 6-Page Site for Kansas City Sports Bar — Full Brief Provided, 7-Day Turnaround

We need an experienced Squarespace 7.1 builder to create a new 6-page website for Taps on Main, a sports bar in downtown Kansas City.

This is a build-to-brief project, not a branding exploration. We already have the site structure, page copy, menu copy, pricing, brand direction, SEO titles, form fields, logo files, and core requirements prepared. We need someone who can execute cleanly in Squarespace, make smart layout decisions, test mobile properly, and help manage the domain cutover from our current website provider.

Taps on Main is a downtown Kansas City sports bar with a 40-tap self-pour beer wall, Tonawanda-style wings, Pizza Logs, watch parties, private events, and online ordering through Toast. The website needs to help first-time guests quickly understand what we are, how the beer wall works, what food we are known for, where we are located, how to order online, and how to inquire about private events.

Pages to build:

1. Home

2. Menu

3. Beer Wall

4. Watch Parties

5. Private Events

6. Visit

The Watch Parties page should be built broadly enough to support sports events throughout the year, including Chiefs, Royals, college sports, March Madness, NHL, soccer, and the 2026 World Cup.

Platform and design requirements:

* Squarespace 7.1

* Squarespace Basic plan

* Dark, high-contrast sports bar / restaurant design

* No WordPress

* No Webflow

* No custom-coded website

* No brand redesign

* Build within Squarespace’s normal drag-and-drop platform

* Mobile-first layout, since most of our customers will visit from phones

We will provide:

* Complete written website brief

* Final page copy

* Final menu copy and pricing

* Brand colors

* Logo files in multiple variants

* Existing photo assets

* Toast online ordering link

* Current domain: tapsonmain.com

* Squarespace account access

* Private Events form recipient email

* Google Business Profile details if needed

Required deliverables:

* Six fully built Squarespace pages

* Header navigation

* Prominent “Order Online” button linking to Toast

* Strong calls-to-action for View Menu, Order Online, Get Directions, and Book a Private Event

* Private Events inquiry form routed to our specified email address

* Embedded Google Map on Visit page

* SEO page titles and descriptions entered from the brief

* Logo uploaded and displayed correctly

* Brand colors applied sitewide

* Photo placement and cropping adjusted for desktop and mobile

* Footer with location, hours, social link, online ordering, and private events link

* Mobile testing before handoff

* Launch/domain support

* 15–30 minute Loom walkthrough at completion

Domain / launch scope:

Our domain, tapsonmain.com, currently points to PopMenu. We need help cutting over the domain to Squarespace with minimal disruption.

Your responsibilities include:

* Review current domain/DNS setup before making changes

* Identify registrar/DNS host

* Document existing DNS records before changes, especially email-related records

* Connect the domain to Squarespace using the appropriate Squarespace method

* Preserve email records if any exist

* Test both root domain and www version

* Confirm SSL is active

* Confirm Toast ordering link works from the live site

* Recommend whether PopMenu should remain active briefly after launch before cancellation

We understand DNS propagation can take time. We are looking for someone who can manage the cutover carefully, communicate the plan, and reduce avoidable downtime.

Mobile testing requirement:

Do not rely only on Squarespace preview mode. Before handoff, test the site on actual mobile devices or browser/device testing tools and confirm:

* Navigation is clean

* Buttons are easy to tap

* Menu sections are readable

* Forms work

* Map works

* Toast ordering link works

* Key headlines do not wrap awkwardly

* Images crop acceptably on mobile

Handoff requirement:

At completion, provide a 15–30 minute Loom walkthrough showing us how to:

* Edit page text

* Swap photos

* Update hours

* Update menu items/prices

* Manage private event form submissions

* Change SEO titles/descriptions

* Update the Toast ordering link if needed

Timeline:

* Awarding project within 48 hours

* Start within 48 hours of award

* Final delivery within 7 calendar days of start

* Launch support included during domain cutover

Ideal freelancer:

You are a good fit if:

* You specialize in Squarespace 7.1

* You have built restaurant, bar, hospitality, venue, or local business websites

* You can work from a detailed brief without trying to reinvent the brand

* You understand mobile-first design

* You know how to connect third-party domains to Squarespace

* You communicate clearly and do not disappear mid-project

You are not a good fit if:

* You are mainly a WordPress, Webflow, or custom-code developer

* You do not have live Squarespace examples

* You want to redesign the brand from scratch

* You cannot meet a 7-day delivery timeline

* You are uncomfortable handling domain/DNS details

Please include 2–3 live Squarespace sites you have built, preferably for restaurants, bars, venues, hospitality businesses, or local service businesses.
