The Senior HR Generalist ensures compliance across all U.S. states, delivers a high‑quality employee experience, and partners closely with Payroll, Safety, HRIS, and external vendors to maintain accurate, timely, and compliant HR operations.<br><br><strong>Position:</strong> Senior HR Generalist<br><strong>Reports to:</strong> HR Director<br><strong>Location:  </strong>Jacksonville, FL or Remote <br><strong>Salary Range:</strong>  $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually</div><div> <br><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:<br><br>Core Responsibilities (75%)</strong> </div><div><strong>Benefits Administration (Health, Welfare, and 401k)</strong></div><ul> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee benefit inquiries, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental plans.</li> <li>Manage benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations; ensure accuracy in ADP and with carriers.</li> <li>Partner with the HRIS Analyst to ensure benefit plans, rates, eligibility rules, and workflows are correctly configured and functioning smoothly.</li> <li>Work directly with ADP and benefit carriers to monitor and troubleshoot EDI files<strong>, </strong>resolve discrepancies, and complete required audits.</li> <li>Review and reconcile quarterly benefit reports, including billing audits and contribution accuracy.</li> <li>Participate in the annual benefits review, supporting plan design discussions, data gathering, and vendor coordination.</li> <li>Support Open Enrollment, including system setup, communication planning, employee education, and troubleshooting.</li> <li>Support the annual 401(k) audit and conduct periodic HRIS audits to ensure accurate plan data.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul><div><strong>Leave of Absence (FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, Personal Leave)</strong></div><ul> <li>Lead and administer all leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, state-specific leave laws, and company policies across all U.S. states.</li> <li>Provide timely distribution, collection, and processing of all required leave documentation.</li> <li>Maintain accurate leave tracking, status updates, and communication with employees and managers.</li> <li>Serve as the primary advisor to employees and supervisors throughout the leave process, ensuring clarity, compliance, and a positive employee experience.</li> <li>Coordinate with Payroll to ensure accurate pay, benefit deductions, and return‑to‑work processing</li> </ul><div><strong>Workers’ Compensation & Return-to-Work</strong></div><ul> <li>Manage all workers’ compensation (WC) claims from initial report through closure, ensuring timely documentation and communication with employees, managers, carriers, and Safety</li> <li>Partner with the Safety team to evaluate light-duty or modified duty options and support return‑to‑work planning</li> <li>Support compliance reporting as needed</li> <li>Provide weekly updates to employees on leave or WC status and communicate weekly summaries to department managers</li> <li>Ensure all WC paperwork is processed accurately and in accordance with state regulations and carrier requirements</li> </ul><div><strong>HR Operations, Data Integrity, & Documentation</strong></div><ul> <li>Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems for all benefit, leave, and WC‑related transactions</li> <li>Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity, compliance, and alignment between HRIS, carriers, and payroll</li> <li>Create, maintain, and continuously improve HR documentation, including SOPs, job aids, forms, and process guides</li> <li>Respond promptly to employee and supervisor inquiries through the HR ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution or escalation</li> </ul><div><strong>Projects or Additional Duties: (25%):</strong></div><div><strong>Cross-Functional HR Support</strong></div><ul> <li>Cross‑train in other HR areas, including onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, HR data administration, and policy interpretation to ensure full team coverage</li> <li>Provide backup support for HR team members during peak periods, absences, or high‑volume cycles</li> </ul><div><strong>HR Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement</strong></div><ul> <li>Participate in initiatives to optimize HR software and systems for better data management, automation, and analytics</li> <li>Support data review and cleanup for annual reporting requirements, including audits and compliance submissions</li> <li>Manage the annual ACA reporting process, including data validation, coordination with HRIS and Payroll, carrier file reconciliation, and timely submission of 1094/1095 forms.
