Lime is seeking a Global Trade Compliance Manager to lead the development and execution of the company’s international trade compliance program across a rapidly growing micromobility business.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">As the Global Trade Compliance Manager, you will lead the development and scaling of our international trade compliance program- ensuring compliance with global import/export regulations while enabling the efficient cross-border movement of vehicles, batteries, parts, and technology. The position plays a critical role in supporting global expansion, managing regulatory risk, and building scalable compliance processes. You will manage execution as well as acting as a trusted advisor to supply chain leadership with regard to the global tariff landscape. This role operates with high autonomy, setting methods and driving execution while partnering closely with internal stakeholders on broader strategy.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a remote position with a requirement for candidates to reside in the United States to maintain effective collaboration across teams.</p><div style="min-height:1.2em;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"> </div><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design, implement, and continuously improve a global trade compliance program aligned with high-growth, multi-market operations</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ensure compliance with import/export regulations across key regions (e.g., EU, US, APAC), including customs, sanctions, and export controls</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Classify micromobility products (e-scooters, e-bikes, IoT devices, spare parts, and lithium-ion batteries) using HS codes and determine duties and tariffs</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Oversee compliance related to the international movement of <strong>lithium-ion batteries</strong>, including hazardous materials (dangerous goods) regulations (IATA, IMDG, ADR)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage export control processes, including licensing requirements for embedded software, GPS/IoT components, and encryption technologies</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead restricted party screening processes across suppliers, logistics partners, and customers</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Partner closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, Hardware, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure compliant and efficient global distribution</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Support market entry into new countries by assessing trade compliance requirements and regulatory barriers</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Provide detailed analytics around business financial impacts for global duties and tariffs for financial planning and budgeting.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage Duty Drawback and Tariff refund processes.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Monitor global regulatory changes (e.g., sustainability rules, battery regulations, recycling directives) and advise on business impact</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and post-entry reviews;
