Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.</p> <h2>Responsibilities for this Position</h2> <p>General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a <strong>Sr Advanced Denodo Developer – Data Integration</strong>.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.</p> <p> </p> <p>A Denodo Developer designs, develops, and maintains data virtualization solutions using the Denodo Platform, integrating data from multiple sources to deliver unified, efficient business data views.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Core Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain Denodo Views and data virtualization layers to unify data from diverse sources such as relational databases, cloud platforms, big data, and SaaS applications</li> <li>Optimize query performance and tune the Denodo environment to ensure efficient data retrieval </li> <li>Design and implement scheduling jobs within Denodo (e.g., Denodo Scheduler) to automate data workflows </li> <li>Coordinate with business stakeholders, data architects, and analysts to gather requirements, analyze data needs, and design appropriate virtual data models </li> <li>Develop new functionalities and maintain existing features on the Denodo platform, including writing automated tests and maintaining product documentation </li> <li>Implement security protocols and access controls to protect data within the virtualization platform </li> <li>Troubleshoot integration and data quality issues within the virtualized environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills and Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proficiency with Denodo Platform, especially in developing data views and working within its virtualization environment </li> <li>Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design; ability to write complex queries and perform data modeling </li> <li>Experience with Java programming and object-oriented design principles</li> <li>Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and web technologies is advantageous </li> <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and translate technical requirements </li> <li>Experience with tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, and familiarity with Agile software development methodologies </li> <li>Certifications such as Denodo Platform Certified Developer, Administrator, or Architect are highly valued </li> <li>Preferred experience includes working knowledge of web services (REST APIs), security protocols (OAuth, SAML), Snowflake Platform and integration with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI</li> <li>Typically requires 5-7 years of experience in software development or specifically working with data virtualization tools</li> <li>Prior experience with ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage) and data quality frameworks can be beneficial but not mandatory</li> </ul> <h2>Salary Note</h2>This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
