We are looking for a dynamic Sales & Service Biomedical Engineer to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for both the sales and service of advanced biomedical equipment in healthcare settings. You will work with hospitals, clinics, and medical professionals to promote and sell our biomedical products while also ensuring their proper installation, maintenance, and ongoing support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical problem-solving and customer interaction in the medical device sector.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development:

    • Promote and sell biomedical equipment and medical devices to healthcare providers including hospitals, clinics, and laboratories

    • Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients to expand market share

    • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to key decision-makers, showcasing the technical specifications and benefits of the equipment

    • Understand customer needs and recommend the most suitable products and solutions for their clinical or operational requirements

    • Prepare and deliver customized proposals, quotations, and contracts

    • Negotiate sales terms and close deals, ensuring compliance with company policies and pricing structures

    • Track sales performance and report regularly on sales metrics, pipeline status, and progress toward targets

Service Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Setup:

    • Oversee the installation and setup of biomedical equipment, ensuring proper configuration, calibration, and functionality in clinical settings

    • Provide onsite training for healthcare professionals on the correct use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of biomedical devices

    • Coordinate with internal teams and customers to ensure timely delivery and installation of products

  • Maintenance and Repair:

    • Perform preventive maintenance and servicing of medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards

    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, either remotely or onsite, working with engineers, technicians, and clinical staff to provide timely solutions

    • Support the warranty and service contracts by addressing repair requests and ensuring devices meet the expected operational standards

    • Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including installation reports, service reports, and maintenance schedules

  • Customer Support:

    • Serve as a point of contact for customers post-sale, providing ongoing support, training, and technical assistance

    • Address any customer concerns related to the functionality and performance of the products

    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty

    • Assist in troubleshooting issues remotely or through on-site visits, ensuring minimal downtime for medical devices

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar biomedical engineering, sales, or technical support role within the medical device industry

  • Strong technical knowledge of biomedical equipment (e.g., patient monitoring systems, imaging devices, diagnostic tools, therapeutic equipment)

  • Proven track record in sales with experience in medical device or healthcare product sales

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical products to non-technical customers

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly in high-pressure healthcare environments

  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed for installations, maintenance, and service calls

  • Familiarity with medical device safety standards, regulations, and compliance (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 60601)

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage both sales and service-related activities effectively

  • Knowledge of CRM software and service management tools is a plus

  • Certification as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or Clinical Engineer (CCE) is desirable
