In this role, you will ensure new product launches provide the highest quality customer experience while maintaining a robust risk posture and scaling our systems for global use. Acorns is a remote-first organization, offering the flexibility to work remotely while providing optional access to office space in Irvine, CA. What you will do at Acorns: Infrastructure Strategy: Collaborate with Trading Operations, Risk, and Data Science to define and execute the trade, risk, and operations roadmap, ensuring Acorns’ day to day trading is able to scale and Acorns’ risk platform is dynamic to enable net new product opportunities. Customer Experience Optimization: Improve on the day to day trading experience and lead improvements for the product experience directly related to risk and trading in order to deliver a high quality customer experience while inserting “Smart Friction” to keep Acorns’ customers safe. Risk Workflow Orchestration: Build and manage tools that empower Risk Operations teams to update rules and manage queues independently, reducing the need for constant engineering support. Vendor Management: Lead the evaluation and implementation of third-party trading, risk and operations tools improve operational efficiency and unlock new capabilities for the company and product. Operational Efficiency: Treat "Operations as a Customer" by driving AI workflow strategies and tools that help scale the existing team's value and efficiency. What you will bring to Acorns: Experience: 4+ years of Program Management experience, specifically within Fintech, Risk, Financial Operations, or Payments. Technical Savvy: A deep understanding of APIs, SQL, and the mechanics of Machine Learning decisioning engines. You understand how risk and operations systems interact at a technical level. Customer Obsession: A mindset that prioritizes both the Acorns customer and our internal operations team, with the ability to build a risk platform that reflects our brand. Agile Mastery: The ability to articulate complex trade-offs to stakeholders, and you have a “builder” mindset capable of leading agile teams. Scientific Approach: Expertise in data analysis and the ability to articulate using data the tradeoff between enhancing risk postures against adding friction to the customer experience. Compensation Information: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $150,000 and $170,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including equity grants, and discretionary cash bonus awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
