Registered Nurse (RN) | Women's Center

Avera Health, a regional health system based in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Women’s Center. In this role, you will provide holistic, patient‑centered nursing care to women across the continuum of obstetric and gynecologic services, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care. As part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, you will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment.

The Women’s Center RN will support labor and delivery, recovery, and mother–baby couplet care, promoting family involvement and patient education on breastfeeding, newborn care, postpartum recovery, and women’s health topics. You will monitor fetal and maternal status, assist providers with examinations and procedures, and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record. You will also coordinate care with physicians, midwives, anesthesia providers, lactation consultants, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes.
