Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Previous clinical nursing experience.<br><br><strong>Certifications<br><br></strong><strong>REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):<br><br></strong><ul><li>Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.</li><li>AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (LABOR & DELIVERY) *Should be completed before the end of the orientation period</li><li>AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (LABOR & DELIVERY or any nurse floated into L&D) *Should be completed before the end of the orientation period</li><li>Fetal Monitoring - L&D and Antepartum: Novice RNs are required to complete GNOSIS introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring with 30 days from hire date or transfer date into unit and AWHONN Intermediate Heart Monitoring with 8 months of L&D Orientation.
