The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team led by Dr. Heather Rouse and other investigators across Iowa State University and partner institutions.</p><p></p><p>This team specializes in mixed-methods research using national datasets, state administrative data, and survey/focus group approaches to examine early risk and protective factors in children’s home and community environments.</p><p></p></div><p><b>Required Minimum Qualifications:</b></p><div><ul><li>PhD in psychology, human development and family studies, educational policy, sociology, or a related field</li><li>Advanced proficiency in dataset management and statistical analysis using Stata, R, and/or other specialized software</li><li>Demonstrated record of analytic writing in early childhood, education, or family studies, including evidence of publication.</li></ul></div><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><div><ul><li>Experience analyzing national datasets such as the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study–Birth Cohort and/or other large-scale population-level data</li><li>Experience conducting advanced quantitative analyses (e.g., longitudinal and multilevel modeling, latent class/profile analysis, propensity score analysis)</li><li>Demonstrated ability to translate quantitative findings for both academic and non-academic audiences</li></ul></div><p></p><p></p><p><b>Department/Program & College Description:</b></p><p>Iowa’s early childhood system is effectively and efficiently coordinated among health, social service, and education agencies to support healthy and successful families.
