Network Operations Senior Advisor - Evernorth - Remote

GENERAL PURPOSE:     

The Capability Manager (Network Operations Sr. Advisor which is an individual contributor role) is a key member of the Network Solutions and Growth team and is accountable for defining, maturing, and optimizing provider data and network capabilities that enable business outcomes across the enterprise.

This role focuses on capabilities rather than point solutions, ensuring that provider data, network, contract, and operational data capabilities are well‑defined, governed, consumable, and aligned to enterprise strategy. The Capability Manager represents assigned capability domains through maturity assessments, roadmap development, and ongoing adoption, while partnering closely with delivery teams, operational users, data governance bodies, and product leadership.

The role requires a strong ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution, assess impact of new requests and changes, manage dependencies and risks, and communicate progress and issues clearly to diverse stakeholder audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define, document, and maintain business capabilities, including scope, intended usage, guardrails, quality standards, and business rules aligned to enterprise capability frameworks.
  • Represent assigned capability domains and partner with Capability Experts to support capability maturity assessments, gap identification, and roadmap recommendations.
  • Define and document business requirements, quality controls, and usage standards needed to support evolving business and market needs.
  • Analyze intake and change requests to assess capability impact, dependencies, risk, and alignment with current priorities and future business needs.
  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure capabilities are implemented in alignment with defined business intent, acceptance criteria, and expected outcomes.
  • Support operational teams with business definition, interpretation, and correct usage of provider data and network capabilities.
  • Actively participate in workgroups and governance forums focused on capability definition, data standards, usage rules, and consistency of outcomes across consumers.
  • Partner with provider data users to promote accurate application, consistent usage, and shared understanding of capability behavior and limitations.
  • Monitor capability performance, adoption, and data quality; respond to and resolve escalated issues impacting integrity, consistency, or usability.
  • Identify risks, constraints, and barriers that could impact capability maturity, adoption, or delivery; develop mitigation or contingency approaches.
  • Escalate issues and risks as appropriate with clear context, impact analysis, and recommended actions.
  • Develop and deliver concise, audience‑appropriate communications and reporting on capability status, risks, and progress toward goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve capability efficiency, scalability, automation, and administrative effectiveness to support cost reduction and competitive differentiation.
  • Holistically manage capability implementation and adoption through delivery, rollout, and ongoing operational use.
  • Partner with matrixed organizations to coordinate initiatives and ensure actions are aligned across portfolios and domains.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience required
  • Agile and/or PMI Certification or Six Sigma training is also valued
  • 8+ years professional experience working in the healthcare industry preferred
  • 5+ years in program management or solution management or related experience preferred
  • Understanding of provider demographic, contract and network data relationships and usage is preferred
  • Technical understanding of complex relational data models is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills - ability to translate information for different partners/stakeholder audiences is required.
  • Proven ability to think and act strategically and influence leadership
  • Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed environment is critical.
  • Ability to coach, develop and mentor others is required.
  • Proven ability to create and further develop strong relationships with both business and IT leadership
  • Demonstrate project management skills and success
  • Ability to foster collaboration, value other perspectives and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposals


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 96,900 - 161,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
