Mental Health Therapist

Northeast Health Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality behavioral health care to children, adolescents, adults, and families across Massachusetts. As part of our Healthcare & Medical Services team, you will deliver outpatient psychotherapy and related clinical services, helping patients manage a wide range of mental health concerns through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

In this role, you will conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, formulate diagnostic impressions using DSM-5 criteria, and collaboratively develop person-centered treatment plans that reflect each patient’s goals, strengths, and needs. You will provide individual, family, and, when appropriate, group therapy using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy–informed approaches, solution-focused techniques, and other evidence-based practices. You will regularly monitor progress, update treatment plans, and adjust interventions to ensure effective, outcomes-driven care.

Your responsibilities will also include timely and accurate documentation of all clinical encounters and treatment plans in our electronic health record system, adherence to ethical and legal standards of practice, and strict compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy policies. You will participate in case consultations, coordinate care with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other community resources, and engage in crisis assessment and intervention when patients present with acute safety concerns. You will play an important role in safety planning, risk assessment, and connecting patients and families with appropriate supports.

Northeast Health Services offers a collaborative and inclusive culture that prioritizes both patient care and employee well-being. As a Mental Health Therapist here, you will be supported by a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and psychiatric providers, with access to regular case consultation, clinical supervision where applicable, and opportunities for continuing education and professional development. We encourage ongoing learning and growth so you can deepen your expertise, pursue specialty areas of interest, and advance your career while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

The position typically offers a hybrid work environment, combining in-person sessions at our Massachusetts clinics with the option for telehealth services, depending on patient needs and organizational guidelines. We strive to maintain manageable caseloads and supportive administrative processes so you can focus on providing compassionate, high-quality care. In joining Northeast Health Services, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families, contribute to the broader mental health community, and grow within a stable, mission-driven healthcare organization that values respect, inclusivity, and collaboration.
