Here at GXO, we’re looking for an experienced HR Manager to join us on our Halfords contract in Coventry. You’ll provide strategic and operational HR leadership to the Halfords Transport and Warehouse contracts, supporting a fast‑paced, unionised logistics environment, and play a key part in driving a fair, consistent, and commercial HR service. This is a full time, permanent position, and the hours of work are Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30. However some flexibility will be required on occasion, this is logistics after all! Pay, benefits and more: You will be paid a salary of up to £50,000 per annum. You’ll also receive 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work‑life balance. Your benefits package includes personal accident insurance, death in service benefit and a company sponsored pension scheme. What you’ll do on a typical day: Work closely with site leadership teams, to deliver a robust people agenda that supports operational performance, contract compliance, and colleague engagement – this includes employee relations, change management, resourcing, talent development and ensuring full compliance with UK employment legislation and client standards. Facilitate harmonious employee relations with the site teams and respective trade union representatives to ensure optimum working efficiency within the operation. Provide full HR generalist support and advice to managers and employees – ensuring a current knowledge of employee legislation and employee relations issues is maintained to ensure the business area remains compliant and risk is mitigated. Promote a positive employee experience and a culture of safety, engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing across warehouse and transport operations. Lead workforce planning and organisational design initiatives, delivering key strategic HR projects and change programmes as required. Drive the L Salary: GBP 50000 - 50000 per year
