Camp Counselor, Kitchen Staff, Maintenance Staff

Wanakee is looking for folks who love the outdoors, have a sense of adventure, and are excited to make a real difference in the lives of young people to join our camp counseling team. With a variety of program offerings from Ultimate Survival to Wanakee Unsolved to Treasure Hunters, no week at Wanakee is quite the same as the last.

Open positions include camp counselors, kitchen staff, and maintenance staff. Counselors work on teams of 2 and spend each week connecting a small group of 12 campers, conquering the high ropes, singing around the campfire, sailing on our fleet of sunfish, and so much more. Our kitchen staff prepare and serve meals in the heart of our summer camp--the dining hall! Kitchen staff work 2 meal shifts each day with the third meal off to enjoy camp life. Maintenance staff spend their days working through a variety of projects including mowing lawns, trail work, cleaning, and fixing broken things. If you enjoy tinkering, maintenance staff may be for you!

Our staff is a tight knit team of about 25 people from around the world. If you love spending time at the lake, bonfires, board game nights, or eating dessert twice a day, you'll fit right in. Staff live together in Wanakee's historic farmhouse in shared bedrooms. Room and board is provided for the entirety of our 9.5 week season (June 14th-August 19th).

Wanakee is located in Meredith, NH in the heart of the Lakes Region. We are 10 minutes from Meredith's downtown and Lake Winnipesauke, 30 minutes from the White Mountains, and 2 hours from Boston.
